Draping the over skirt

Using my sister as a dress form (mine is up at Michael's). I draped my blue material over the white skirt with its attached bustle train. This is the side you cant see in the fashion plate

About Me

This is an account of my forays into historical reenacting, costuming and vintage clothing. I was taught to sew at a young age on an old 40s machine by my grandmother who was a fantastic quilter. Everything I make I feel is an example of trial and error, an experiment and a learning experience. I sew for my own enjoyment and pleasure.

For those of you that know me personally, this blog is for you, for those that don't, I hope you enjoy a peep hole sized view into my world.

I call myself a histroical recreationist . . . But let's be honest I'm just a girl with a fabric addiction, a sewing habit and an old machine.
