Regency Project - an update

This weekend Michael needed to go fabric shopping for another upcoming event in April. Okay twist my arm to go fabric shopping ;)
We went to Lincoln fabrics over in Venice. If you've never been, it's a crazy old warehouse stuffed to the ceiling with rolls of fabric, and they usually carry way more then the standard JoAnn's. Though prices aren't anything like shopping in the Garment District, at least you can usually find the fabric your looking for.

While Michael dug out wool and silk and velvet (I see a renaissance court suit for him in my near sewing future) I found this great linen cotton blend. The picture makes it looks darker then it really is, being more of an ecru with burnt orange print. It just screamed period fabric at me and then started whispering sweet nothings at me till had to buy it :) I'm going to make it into a regency dress for Anza. So now I'll have two day dresses and the evening dress.
